Mission
The Economics Society of Northern Alberta is a non-profit and
non-partisan organization that is supported solely by membership fees, event
fees and individual donations.
The objectives of the Economics Society of Northern Alberta are:
- To
promote better understanding and informed public discussion of important
economic issues by organizing events that feature prominent presenters;
and
- To support
academic achievement in economics through provision of scholarships.
Our luncheons are usually held on the 3rd Friday of the month
from January to June and September to November. We also sponsor an annual
economic outlook conference in the first week of December. Watch our website
for upcoming events.
The only requirements to become a member of ESNA are an interest in
economics and payment of our annual membership fee. Our luncheons and
conference are open to anyone. Suggestions for presentation topics or speakers
are welcome, and can be forwarded to the Program Director – see Directors’
page.
